I make animations. I use Source Filmmaker to make a lot of my animations and for the last few months I have been trying to improve my craft. Here is a breakdown of the animations I have made.
I have made many animations in my time. If you want to view the general playlists for my animations, click the link below.
A smaller sub-series of short animations I made mimicking the old TV idents used on the British channel, BBC Three. More specificially, the animations are inspired by the idents and brand identity used on BBC Three between its launch in 2003 to 2008.
Premise: The idents involve little slug-like blob creatures. The blobs exist in a sort of huge, sky-blue coloured room or void, with the only other thing in the space being giant, 3D letters spelling out the word "THREE". The blobs were often seen speaking in soundbites. Said soundbites would be dialogue take from various programming such as that broadcast on BBC Three at the time. BBC Three also used the Schoolhouse Rock song "Three Is A Magic Number" to market the channel and act as a theme song. The song was used in the channel's launch bumper as well as a compilation
As I was trying to improve on my animation abilities and get back into the spirit of it, I got inspired to recreate these idents but with my own little spin. The difference with my versions being that the void space is dark red instead of blue, to match my channel branding and my rabbit OC colour. Secondly, instead of the giant 'THREE' in the center of the room, I would have a large, 3D representation of my logo, looming over the characters. The foreground characters would be random, often being FNAF characters or OC's. Although I did start out reanimating the soundbites used in the BBC Three idents, I eventually starting using my own, making my own original animations in the process.
